Do we all live in the same world? Time to become a writer and do your part in a world for all.

Choose among the following tasks the one that best suits your preferences. Work individually or choose a partner among your classmates. Use your initiative, and be as creative as possible!

1. Study the following images with the refugees. Imagine and write their names, their family names, their background, their country, and what happened. You may decide to use some small items to make your story more vivid and realistic e.g. a photo, a hyperlink etc.

2. Write a dialogue among the above imaginary people and act it out before your classmates.

3. Write an interview about their background, the difficulties they face, their dreams. Alternatively, you may interview Muzon or Mesfin.

4. Write a letter to the international community to sensitize people about the human rights of refugees.

5. Search the internet and find stories you would like to share. You could find examples with refugees from your country's history, make a short presentation of 4-5 slides, and present them in class.

6. Have you read any books about refugees?  If you have, make a short presentation of 4-5 slides and present it in class. You may wish to illustrate your presentation with images, hyperlinks with videos etc.

Enjoy your creations!!!

    Dear international community
I am writing in regards to a recent request that you made for more information about the theme of refugees. I am a correspondent student of Lyceum of Konitsa and the purpose of this letter is to express some things about refugees and everything that is related with them.

We understand that the number of refugees is increasing gradually. Many people abandon their country and they ultimately start a new life without knowing what will happen next .

Firstly, refugees do not have the basic facilities in the asylum that they live. Many people are separated in a big tent. They wear dirty clothes and sometimes they are away from their families. Even if they have faced so many obstacles in their lives, they continue to live in harsh conditions. Not only are they forced to live all cramped in a small place or even together but also fresh . It is serious that many of
them are deprived of food . They do not even have fresh to drink. A recent lose every six months their lives because of malnutrition and dehydration .

Moreover, refugees do not have the necessary acceptance from the others. By this I mean that they may not be treated as normal people. People regard that they are inferior and they degrade them. There are some cases that this obsolescence can lead to pathetic results. There are some countries that even the police judge that refugees are criminals and that they live a life full of crime.

This is not the case . In fact refugees are people that have left their countries because of political issues or because of a war. Refugees are just some "fighters" of life.
They are modest. They have faced conditions that only few of us can encounter. Refugees can overcome all their obstacles and they can achieve a lot of things. Some of them like Muzon once said "Being a refugee does not have to ruin your life. Many successful people have gone through hard times". The life of a refugee is not a difficult situation; it is an experience that can surely be overcome .
Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,

    Thekla Nestouri
